Between responsibilities, exhaustion, and just trying to keep up with everyday life, even a few intentional minutes with God felt out of reach.

But here’s the truth I’ve had to learn (and relearn):

Before I became a mother, my mornings were slow and quiet. I could sit with my Bible, a cup of coffee in hand, and soak in God’s presence without interruption. It felt peaceful and structured… the kind of routine you might picture when you think of a “perfect” morning with God.
Then motherhood came, and everything shifted.
Those quiet mornings were replaced with the beautiful chaos of caring for my daughter. Instead of sitting down with my Bible at sunrise, I found myself whispering prayers during nighttime feedings, opening Scripture in small, tired moments when I could. Now, in this season, my mornings have taken on a new shape again.
Instead of sitting down with a Bible and notebook, I meet with God outside.
I go on prayer walks.
